Hi All,

Hoping for a little help identifying a Waterman that showed up a while back in a pen lot. Here are some views:

About as close as I can get to a guess, with the always-welcome help of Richard's website, is a Taperite Corinth; however, my pen lacks the distinctive diagonal-line "cap band" that seems to be a feature of that model. If anything, aspects of its cap design seem a little closer to some of the later metal Hundred Year/Emblem caps; it has a series of interrupted horizontal engraved lines as well as the five-pointed star symbol (I've tried to capture that in the cap close-up).

The pen is a lovely writer, and some kind soul must have restored it somewhere along the way, because it came to me in fine working order. The brushed stainless cap was dull and messy, but a little Simichrome and elbow grease returned it to presentable condition.

If all else fails, it goes into the database as a Corinth; but I'd love to know whether that's really the proper designation.

Thanks!

Jon

A needy, importunate bump.

Crusader, maybe, rather than Corinth?

Thanks,

Jon
