I got some samples of Neehah paper, and upon trying the "super smooth" I liked the feel of Avon Brilliant White Text 70lb. But when I tried the Classic Cream 80lb, it is much poorer. It bleeds more and makes my lines too fat.
Is the slight difference in weight going to do that? Same finish! Different color.
Anyone see this kind of thing before?
It makes it much more difficult to choose the right paper, since I can't change more than one characteristic per sample.

I've found that the lines spreads more with the papers that have recycled content. Check their website to see if the cream has recycled content, there is a good chance it does. One can assume that there may be some differences in paper of different weights, as there is probably a different formula. Also the Neenah papers seem to accept ink differently on opposite sides of the sheet. Generally, the side from which you can read the watermark will have more resistance to the ink.
