I got a German fountain pen all made in bronze (or brass). It is very massive and uses cartridges (Pelikan are the ones which fit). Does anyone know when this kind of pens were made?
It looks like from the 60s, but I do not know. Even the hood is made of metal. I restaured completely because it was in a very bad condition and now it is beautiful (looks like gold plated). It has a stub nib very smooth.

That "all bronze" thing is a clue; a lot of older Chinese pens were made that way. Sometimes there will be no brand name
on the pen itself but the nib will say "GERMANY". Sound right?

Yes, it says "IRIDIUM POINT - GERMANY" So, you say is a Chinese pen. Wow, very well constructed not with cheap plastic a bad quality terminations as many of us are used to.

Chinese pens can be pretty cool!, nothing to feel so crestfallen over. Anyway, I could be wrong.
