I've noticed that the board's counting mechanisms don't add up. I've seen plenty of instances where a topic will have a positive number of replies but show the number of topic views as zero. Thought you should know -- it's a minor nit in the big scheme of things but there may be a code update that fixes the count increment problem.

It has also messed up my post count. I have been a member of FPN fromwithin a week of its inception, and on numerous ocasions, my post count just went down to some random number in the low hundreds.I possibly have posted over 5000 times on FPN, yet my post count is supposedly only in the 1300's. Oh well!!!

miketo - there is an existing thread about this somewhere. . . I believe the problem was that the Views does not refresh or something like that.

Yes, as Jim mentions: rather than have the # of views recalculated every time you refresh the page, it is only done every 6 hours, in order to minimize the load on the server. We didn't expect the amount of overhead caused by refreshing with every page refresh to be very large, but we found it drastically reduces the load, to an extent that about twice as many concurrent users can be serviced simultaneously!
