I have recently acquired an old pen sales standing case. I don't know how old it is but it has etching in the glass on the front and says "Sheaffer" with a hand above holding a pen. Inside the hand are the words "It's a Sheaffer" and the words self filling pen underneath. It is some kind of wood on the bottom and heavy glass above. Any ideas?
Thanks for any help with this.

I'm guessing late teens early twenties, based on some of the features cited.

Cynthia;

That case is circa 1919. I happen to have the same/similar model in my office.
