Hi

What is a Blue-Black ink? Seeing some different brand samples, there are several and distinct colors with this same name! Can we tell by definition that such ink is a blue one that turns to a black color after drying? Or simply a very dark blue ( like a blend of blue and black)?

Thank you

My understanding is that blue-black is a very dark blue that appears almost black with blue highlights or shadings.

The inks that turn black after drying and might start out as either gray or blue are inks called 'registrars' inks. -- inks that are iron gall based. The color change is a chemical reaction with the paper.
