I did a little color adjusting, and on my monitor, they're pretty close. Manuscript Brown is a little redder here than it is in real life, although it does indeed appear quite red when wet. Once dry, it darkens up a bit. I'm really enjoying all three colors.

Thank you! Ah, Starry Night is calling my name ...

Beautiful work, and excellent choice of pens for the inks.
Thanks a lot!

I really like the look of the group-designed bottles next to each other! Talk about collector's items! Too bad the labels are printed on a junky injet. Your ink will last for posterity, but the beautiful label probably won't!

Thanks for posting the scans, wackyjacky! I have to get used to the Tulipe Noire but I really like Starry, Starry Night so far. I've had Manuscript Brown since January and it's a very cool ink.

Nathan suggests coating the label with clear acrylic or lacquer.

The first photo (not scan) is too orange/red. The second one is better, certainly more "impresionistically correct" if not accurate color. Looking at my sample under an OTT light, there is an orange-ish tone, but not red. But it is more brown than orange.

I just checked the calibration of my laptop LCD. If your JPEG was correct color in sRGB, then it would show correct on my screen.

Right, they're photos, not scans. (I don't know why I had the word "scan" stuck in my brain the day I made the post. wacko.gif )

Just for grins, here is a bona fide scan of the three inks. IMO, the color-adjusted photos are closer to the real thing than the scan (which is unadjusted). Maybe my monitor is a bit off? hmm1.gif
