I am wondering if anyone knows how I might try to remove Higgins Eternal Ink. Today in calligraphy class my pen landed in my lap and I have a nice black spot. This is the first time --- usually the pen lands on the floor, easy to clean up. Thanks for your help if there is any.

Did you try Amodex?
Oxy-clean?

If all else fails, draw a nice design around the spot using the same ink, so it looks intentional.

Another one is Kiss-Off, which is in a white tube you would probably buy from the art supply
store. Water, ASAP is also a good thing, as in soaking the item, if it's washable. If it's
washaable and white, you might try applying a paste of powdered bleach (the white powder,
non-chlorine type.)

For dry cleanable clothes, I had good results after a photocopy toner accident simply tellin
the cleaners what the stain was.

Let us know how it works.

At least you didn't get Noodler's Legal Lapis on your trousers. crybaby.gif

Sorry to hear that -- I am living with a stain from a bottle of Higgins Eternal on my bedroom carpet, so can't say I can give much useful advice. I tried everything, mostly with limited success, but one tip that surprisingly lightened that portion of the carpet (I didn't have enough to soak the entire stain) was milk. But it was applied right away; I can't see that it would be effective on a dried or washed stain. Good luck and hope you find something that works.
