Maine Vintner
Greetings, Everyone. Just a quick introduction as I am new to this site.

I became aware of FPN through a couple of the key pen magazines a few years back
and finally decided to check it out. I am very glad that I did. As many others have
said, it is great to find a forum that is so well done by great people while covering a
topic about which we are all so passionate.

I became fascinated with pens as a child, was given a Sheaffer ballpoint as a high
school graduation gift, and fell in love with the Cross Townsend when it was introduced.
When I moved to LA I discovered my first fine pen store and the bug took root.

I soon owned a Waterman Carene, a ST Dupont Orpheo, and a Jorg Hysek fountain pen.
As I was discovering the joys of writing with fountain pens I was always aware of the
beauty and prestige of Montblanc. At some point I decided I needed to graduate to a
piston fill and the 146 was the obvious choice for me.

Today I own a wide range of fountain pens, the majority of which are Montblancs. They
just work well for me and my 146 is my daily writer. I have appreciate and respect a
number of brands and have started to collect vintage pens.

I look forward to becoming part of the network. Thanks again for being here.
