I have been amassing some pens, but without anything really to keep them in. I found out the other day that Michael's craft stores is clearing them out at $9 a piece (each holds 8 pens). Does anybody have any experience with these?

Yes, I have several of them. They are presentable and work well. The quality is, of course, not the same as the $90 cases I bought from Levingers previously, but they are quite good enough. I bought 3 of them when they were on sale for $11 so this new price is great. /Craig

I have one, and I think it's a great value.

I have one as well. The only thing is the bands inside are so tight it's difficult to get large pens in them, eg, Duofold, Retro 51 Script Master.

They are a good deal for the money I think. I actually just went back a few days ago and picked up another one cause my collection outgrew the first one. I'm debating about picking up the last one they had just in case I need it.

I went yesterday and picked up two (8 pens per) which should hold my collection plus have a little breathing room. They appear to be pretty decent, although the construction looks a little weak. But hey, for $9 each I feel like I got a good deal. And it sure beats my pens rolling around in a drawer. (If you ever end up buying a pen from me please ignore that last comment. All my pens have been swaddled in pure silk and kept in an oxygen free chamber).

I grabbed one of these today, too. Mine weren't rolling around (okay, except the Chinese one and the Sheaffer cheapie) but it's nice to have them out where I can see them/pick from them easily.

I have bought two of the Michael's pen cases. One of them needed some light repair when I took the shrink wrap off; the wood on one of the corners had pulled away from the rest of the case. I still think they are a good deal for the price.

Cheers,
A.J.

I have one and have had no problems with it. Looks good as good as many I have seen at much higher prices.
