Wow I just had a disaster at work using Noodler's Lux Blue in my F Namiki Falcon. The Lux blue was 1) a major nib creeper which I can live with but 2) it was a gusher such that big drops of ink accumulated on the nib and would blop on my paper when they felt like it. Created a mess in the cap. Pen was stored nib up, but I move my pen around a lot when I talk and I may have been waving it around a bit with the cap on, but still - what a mess.

So is Lux blue a gusher typically or was it just a bad combo or so I need to be more still?

Sounds like a bad combo. I've had good luck with Luxury Blue in several pens. Hope you find a good match.

This is a Frequent occurance in the fountain pen world. Not every ink will work in every pen. Some inks will work in most pens, others will work well in very few. It is just part of living with them.

I have Lux Blue and a Namiki Falcon w/ an F nib, but never combined the two. Only use Noodler's inks in Platinum Preppy pens (converted to EDs) and Hero 329s. So, is it safe to guess you won't want my bottle of Lux Blue?

I'm using BSB in a Falcon with an SB nib.

No I haven't given up on LB yet. I may even try same combo and avoid waving the pen around wildly while I talk/yell/berate my staff ;-) But maybe some DeArtremis ink will come along and blow it out of the water. Gee I wonder when some kind soul will review those inks? ;-)
