I've now tried Baystate Blue on two Pelikans and my Porsche. I too was pretty panicked when I saw the seemingly unremovable stains on the Pelikan's white plastic. Some wise man or woman in an earlier post recommended isopropyl alcohol, and the Clown Prince of Inks went down without a whimper. I just recleaned my Porsche, which had a bit of residue between the converter and the pen itself, and the gunk disappeared like a cartoon roach in a cloud of Raid.

The result, I think, is that Baystate Blue is a keeper, so long as you use it with pens that can stand the alcohol. This means high quality plastic and metal pens. Alcohol can remove lacquer and can have some strange staining on rubber, so I think the exotic materials are out for this ink.

Do you know what isopropyl would do to the inside or a piston fill pen?

It'll wash away the oils from the seals and gaskets. Also, it dissolves shellac so you don't want to suck up some into your lever fill pen. I wouldn't recommend it on a daily basis. It's usually safe around most plastics, but I'd still be careful.
