I was wondering if anyone can kindly provide me the uncapped weight of a Wellington - Conway Stewart?

Wellington is a substantial pen which weights 40.4 g as suggested by Richard Binder on his website. Since I am one of those uncapped writers, I would appreciate if anyone can shed some light on the uncapped weight of a Wellington.

Many thanks.

Hi Justin,

I have just weighed one of the Wellingtons in my office. Pen without cap and empty of ink weighs approximately 23 g.

Pen World and Stylus have both reported a positive write up on this model:

Many thanks for your help. It is very kind of you to take your time and do this tedious work just to answer a question on forum.

To me, the classic brown Wellington is almost irresistible, not to mention the performance of a CS nib. The pen was on the top of my must-have list, until I discovered its weight. smile.gif 40.4 g is too much a weight to bear. I use an old Hero FP which is merely 13g when unposted and empty. It seems I am rather a light writer.

Anyway, 23g is a good news to me. I probably will find a local shop to test the weight distribute before purchase.
