Nice pens, no doubt. High quality. Lots o' varieties, but even as i spent years collecting (and occasionally selling) the fat PFM's, by last year i'd owned probably just 3-4 thin Snorks, and except for the Black Admiral i'd bought from Nathan 10 years ago in my earliest days of collecting, the other ones all sort of were accidental acquisitions.
A year ago i stumbled into my first Snork hoard (hey, hoards happen), and since then have hit 3-4 more hoards of 'em. Bags full in some cases. I do like the "tough" colors, as they generally are rather intense and bright, not like the more dull "regular" colors. Of course with all these pens coming and going, I had to... finally... learn a bit about 'em.
Well, that's one of the key charms of the Pen Show. Talking to fellow collectors. Y'all really should go to a pen show.
Anyway, chats with Alan Kaufman, Sam Marshall, Martin Ferguson... even that so-n-so Wooten... before i knew it i'd learned at least a wee bit about the darn things.
So, a year later and perhaps a couple hundred Snorks bought/sold/kept, well at least a few kept, and I've come to appreciate 'em a bit more.
IMHO, there is something well out of the ordinary in this shot of the already out of the ordinary color snorks. A recent happy find to round out the theme. See if ya can find the charmer in the pile.
