How do I increase the flow on this nib? It is by Hero, but I assume it is a copy of another design -- what is it called or what does it most resemble?

i tend to gently and little by little bend each tine upwards to increase flow, open up the vent. bending downwards has the opposite affect, less ink, slit becomes smaller. ensure both tines are aligned before testing, writing. i would recommend practicing on an inexpensive pen.

edit: make sure its clean. clean the vent hole, slit and feed etc. perhaps try another ink. ensure the nib is aligned correctly before adjusting tines.

Also if you go to nibs.com (Mr. Mottishaw's website) - he has an article on how to increase flow and make sure the tines (the prongs of the nib) are equal

It is very simple - and I was able to do this on one of my expensive pens using no tools at all - but my fingers ... the flow improved immediately and was great

I found his article on "Smoothing Scratchy Nibs". Is that the one? I don't know if I can lift the tines because the face is also covered.
