Hence I inquired about Omas & being able to remove the nibs etc in the Repair Forum...I have a bunch of Cross, Lamy, Waterman, Parker Sonnets, Sheaffer, etc. dating back 20 years, but I have pretty much "shelved" them in light of the above. No comparison if you ask me.

I enjoy calligraphy & italic script, but really I like collecting these too. Some of them make quite a statement when signing contracts, that's for sure...

Darned expensive hobby, this pen "thing"

Those are some exceptionally beautiful (and well-made) fountain pens in your current collection! Also beautiful is your avatar; what type of clavichord (if I am not mistaken) is represented?

The instrument pictured as my ava is a custom harpsichord made by Byron James; I had wanted to order one; I had to shelve that idea after my wife found out how much they cost (think 2006 Ford Explorer)...oh well...
