Hi there biggrin.gif
I've been using fontains pens for the last 3 years on a regular basis. I write everything with a fountain pen, lol. Thank God mine aren't high end because they are heavily used (I study Dentistry, so imagine how many notes I take a day at classes tongue.gif )
Anyway, first pen I bought (erm, parents) was +-5 years ago as a Christmas present. This was a set though (Fountain Pen -Fine Nib- / Rollerball / Leather Carrying Case). It's made by Rotring, Esprit series in Nautic-Blue.
Later on, I was given another (cheap) fountain pen that I really like its feeling, a Senator in a softer blue (as compared to the Rotring). This pen has suffered a lot of wear (I mainly use it since I really like the feeling of it and it's the cheapest one I have).
Another, and the best, fountain pen I seldom use is my mother's Parker. I have no information about this pen and I hope to get some here. It's an heavy pen, came with an ink reservoir and it's nib is gold-like colour. I say it's gold like since I really don't know if it's gold, gold-plated or just "gold-yellow". Anyway, this pen IS old (it was my grandfather's and a few years ago he gave it to my mother since he didn't use it) and the colour hasn't faded at all.
I'm looking forward to get more pens in the future as I love them and can't live without one laugh.gif .

Regards,
maia

Hi Maia,

Welcome to the forum!

I think the best you could do is posting a picture of your mother's pen. Parker and other brands have made incredible quantities of models over time, so a image will really worth more than a thousand words in this case.

If you do not have a digital camera, you may consider simply scanning the pen in a flatbed scanner. They are available in every cybercafe.

All the best,

Alejandro

Hi Maia,

Itīs nice to see another Portuguese-speaker in this forum. Welcome!
I hope you enjoy FPN, this is a very friendly community- and there are a lot of people around here who know everything about pens, so there is always much to learn in these pages...)

BTW, the other portuguese-speakers I know of are Acfrery and myself, in Brazil, and Paulo, in Lisbon.

regards,
Rique

Here are some quick pics of my Fountain Pens (and two BPs):

I'll take some more later this week (I'm in examinations at university). Also, there's an appropriate forum for posting pictures, but I am presenting my current collection so I thought it would be ok to post them here smile.gif

Hi,

The Unknown Parker is a Parker 75. smile.gif

Dillon

In other wording, is it worth anything? Was it low-end, mid-end, high-end range? Also, is it gold-plated, solid or yellow colored stainess steel? Gonna check google.com.
Thank you for the model number wink.gif
Dillo
Hi,

It is a middle range pen. smile.gif

Wow, found my exact pen on parker75.com!

Jaspe red quartz, 1979 - 1982

Furthermore, they seem to be selling second hand and new for quite high, not that I intend to sell this one. It's staying in the family, good or not, it's a keeper wink.gif
Maja
Hi Carlos ("maia") and welcome to FPN! biggrin.gif

For a second, I thought there was another "Maja" on FPN...but then I noticed it was an "i" not a "j" rolleyes.gif My username here is my first name, not a last name (as in your case, I think, based on your website info) and I am originally from Yugoslavia.

Anyway, it is nice to have you on board! Thanks for posting photos of your pens for us to see. I love the colour red so I am looking at your Parker 75 with envy! (I have a Parker 75 "Cisele")

Hey there once again.
I have one little issue with my Rotring FP. I don't know if it has anything to do with its (fine) nib, but most of the time I start writing with it the ink doesn't come out right away. I have to restart drawing the letter. While writing continuously it won't stop, but taking a rest of a few secs (depends how many, is it due to temperature/laying on the table?) returns back to the state of not writing. Not a big deal, but could this be due to the nib and/or ink used? BTW, I'm using Rotring Brilliant Blue ink.
This issue is not present on my other FPs which are always "ready". The Senator is using Rotring Brilliant Black ink and the 75 Parker Quink Black ink.

Thank you.

Hi,

I think it is the nib. You could send it to me for adjustment, but I am in the US. smile.gif

Sure, seems a nice idea. But I can only compare between them, never tried other fountain pens...
I'll do each one a review later on. I'm having examinations atm and on for the next 2-3 weeks wink.gif
