For my first attempt at making a pen case?

It's pretty small---about the size of a paperback book.

And where do you get those little plastic inserts with the indentations to hold your pens???

*I'll think of the name in a minute*

HELLP!!!

I accidentally put this in the wrong topic forum! crybaby.gif

Now if a kindly mod will move my error to the right forum??? unsure.gif

Sailor K,

This is a wonderful box. Depending how nitpicky you want to be....you can make your own insert with felt by bunching it up for partitions and dividing the box up in compartments with wood glue and balsa wood.

It just depends how fancy you want to be.

The problem with that box...won't be big enough for all the pens you accumulate. This salmon box was the container of a fillet of smoked salmon at Christmas.

Good luck and have fun with your project.
Great start.

On the other hand, a paperback sized box would make an excellent carry case. The hard sides would be even better protection from the environment than a leather case.

When you made your partitions are they just felt, or did you make balsa partitions and cover them?

I am getting a nice cigar box from a friend of mine, and was thinking of buying trays, but it seems like it shouldn't be that hard to just make them myself.

The salmon box looks really cool. I'm about to order some of those dividers, which will really come in handy.

I think this box might be dedicated to holding my new little collection of a few Hero pens. They're small, and not too many.

And thanks to the mod who moved this for me. ^^
