I close friend of mine just showed me a Waterman 42 with a full overlay in 18K rolled gold. The pattern on the overlay is herringbone, and the clip is a fairly ornate Rose pattern with a Rosebud on the captop.

He even has the original case for the pen which is in great shape.

Anyone able to shed more information on this pen?
