Hi Guys .. I have seen with a friend a very nice black Matte Sheaffer Targa Fountain Pen.. the cap, barrel and section are all in black while the nib is 14K gold .. the pens sounds very elegant .. he purchased it from Spain for almost 40 dollars ( 25 Euros) .. They aren't that scarce. There may not be any on eBay right now, but they do show up. New OS condition might fetch $60 to $80. You can sometimes get them for less. Once I got a brand new fp and pencil for $20.
Not hard to find at all. I have just sold 2 black matted ones on the marketplace.

Keep watching. The black matte pens show up from time to time. 25 Euros was a very good price. Recently, Targa pens have increased in price in part because they are no longer made and the supply is starting to diminish.

I actually stumbled on a matte black Targa almost by mistake. Bought it by chance for $30 without knowing what it was. I fell in love with the pen immediately. I love the weight and feel but mostly it's an incredible writer. I have since bought several more Targas and they are all incredible writers.

Same with me. I bought a matte black Targa set (fp, pencil, ballpoint) "accidentially": It came with a Pelikan pencase I was interested in. Thought I would resell the pens. All together came for about 18 (!!) Euro + shipping.
After cleaning and replacing the converter I started to like the Targa. still have it
