I received this in a trade with another member of FPN and after trying it for a few weeks, I thought I'd test the waters and see if anyone is willing to trade for this pen. It is an excellent writer with a 21k gold F nib. As with other Japanese pens the F nib writes more like an EX. Pen is just a little small for me. Not small enough that I will never use, but small enough that I thought about offering it up for a trade. Will also provide full package of sailor black cartridges and partial box of blue (8 cartridges).

I would be looking for a light weight FP with similar value (w/ gold nib), which is slightly larger than the 1911 (which is about 5" end to end and less than 5" uncapped. Would like to try a pelikan if there is a comparable one or an aurora, but am also open to suggestions. I like a F-M nib, and not too wet. My Waterman Charleston F nib seems to be a nice pen for my writing; not too wet and a slightly wider width than what I would consider fine, but not too wide.

If anyone is interested, I will probably be able to post a picture later tonight or tomorrow.

Hi,
FWIW, that is a Sailor Magellan in Tortoise Celluloid. Very nice pen. (The 1911 in on most Sailors as it is the year the company was founded.) Not that common anymore. I'd look for something to trade but I have mine already. If you like the pen itself, you might find out if anyone has a section/nib to trade. Those who like fine nibs cherish the Sailor nibs in F/EF.
