Hello,
some 10 years ago I bought a Cross FP medium size and now I can't find any description of it. It's medium size with 18 KT broad nib, 2nd nib is medium. The shaft is rolled gold with black china laquer stripes. Cross doesn't give already any support, as I heared.

I think that's a Cross Signature. I've got one just like it that I got New Old Stock from eBay.

That is indeed a Cross Signature Series model #6306 - 18kt gold nib. It was manufactured in 1990 and it retailed for $400.00.

I don't know who told Gemu that Cross wouldn't support this pen. So far as I am aware, Cross has a lifetime guarantee on all its fountain pens. Last year I sent back a pen older than Gemu's 1990 object, and although Cross didn't repair it, they did replace it with the comparable current model. I believe that if I had said the original pen had sentimental value, they would have tried to repair it, or at least would have sent it back with the replacement pen.
Compared with many other companies in all product fields, Cross has excellent customer service. (There are many postings to that effect on this forum.) If Gemu ever has trouble with his pen, he can look forward, on past form, to outstandingly good service, possibly better in England and continental Europe than in the United States.

Yes, I do understand that a written statement of the "sentimental value" is critical unless replacement is desired of the older model.

Thanks for your opinions. I didn't want the FP replaced by a newer one. With the 2nd nib writing is better. This was my first expensive FP I bought and therefore it has a sentimental value for me. The shop clerk told me, the only possibility for repair was to give me a the 2nd nib.
