Dear Omas Milord owners,

I thought that the old style Omas Milord was a piston filler, but a vendor listed it on their website as a "cartridge integration system". When I phoned to ask, the owner said that the description must be wrong. But he could not check for sure, because the pen ships out of a warehouse so he does not have it inside the shop. Is there indeed a CC version of this pen? Or if it's an old-style Milord, is it safe to assume that it is a piston fill?

Many thanks,
QM2

My old-style Milord has what is know as an "advanced cartridge system". What it is is a gold holder for 2 cartridges, which precludes the use of a converter (ie. cartridge only). I'm not sure if that is the milord you are referring to. Mine is the vegetal resin version

Thanks for the response. That must be the version they meant then. Good thing I did not buy it, because I definitely want the piston version. The description of the item said cartridge, but when I phoned to ask, the vendor got confused and said that no, it must be a piston. However, he can't check, because the item ships from the warehouse. I think I'll leave this deal alone then.

If you're still looking for a piston fill old style Milord, Joon Pens has the HT version on clearance. They have the medium and broad nibs still available. Here's a link. You'll need to scroll down to the Milords:

Usual disclaimer: I am not now nor have I ever been affiliated with Joon Pens etc. etc. etc. I'm just passing on some information that some may fine useful. YMMV.

Thank you penaddict, that is a great deal. I was looking for the gray one with HT trim. Unfortunately most places don't have that version. I finally found and bought one yesterday, with piston-fill like I wanted! It wasn't quite as good of a deal as what joonpens is offering for the black version, but still pretty darn good.

Does anybody here own a gray Milord? I think I may just be the only person who likes gray pens, they do not seem too popular!

Yes, I do and I quite like it. I agree that grey does not seem to be a popular colour and I don't know why.
