Hi All -

I bought an SJ on eBay recently, and when it arrived I was dismayed to find that the cap and barrel are two shades of green. To the casual observer it would work, but I'm deep into my Estie obsession and it would drive me craz-ay. The cap is a light green and the barrel is darker. Both pieces are in good shape with intact jewels. The barrel imprint is not the best I've seen, but still intact and readable. Is there anyone on this list interested in a swap? PM me and let me know.

I will post pics, if needed, but my photography skills are lacking.

Same here I'm afraid. If nothing else, keep it for parts. Another option might be in the marketplace. If someone has the same problem, maybe you can swap caps and each end up with a proper pen.

I wish you well--I have ten or so color variations of the green Estie pen---from a very dark green to a very pale yellow green. "Dye lot" variations I believe. Pictures would help given monitor variations. I suspect one would have to get the match "in person" with pen in hand.

I do have a body that needs jewels, section and nib, but it is kind of a washed pale green. However, they do match and can go very cheap. Let me know if that might intrest you and I can send a photo. If you like, you can send it to me and I can swap over the jewels if you are hesitant.

hi... if you haven't had luck yet i am in a similar boat; however the pen is in philly and i'm in new york til sunday. i'll try to post a picture of them next week - good idea to see if there's someone around to swap with!
