Obviously you have a lot of blues... can you name your favourites in each category? Favourite blue-black, favourite turquoise, etc?
Garfieldthecat
I guess you really don't like Noodlers ink, huh? lticaptd.gif

Thanks for the scans, always good to see good comparison shots.

I was actually going to do a chart of the Noodler's blues and thus had been gathering them for this effort. Until recently, I had far fewer blues. I haven't spent enough time with most of these to figure out what I really like, but Legal Lapis, Luxury Blue, and Violet Vote are three of my favorites.

Nice, Deirdre! I really like these scans!

Wow, that's awesome! But does Mata Hari's Cordial look blue-gray to anyone else?? I thought it was supposed to be a dusky pink colour hmm1.gif

Mata Hari's Cordial is one of three Noodler's colors that I have that change dramatically depending on the lighting conditions. It's not a single color.

The other two, btw, are Highland's Heather (best described as Alexandrite -- it's both purple and green) and Chekhov (mustard and orange-red).

Wow, that's fascinating! I've been eyeing that colour for a while, but that makes me want it even more now! And an "alexandrite" colour sounds neat too! It reminds me of this nail polish I used to have that was green or purple, depending on how the light hit it...

PS If you ever do find a source for Panda and Cherry Blossom inks, do let me know! wink.gif I've e-mailed Nathan a couple of times to ask about it, but never received any reply sad.gif

Wow - I've never seen so many Noodler's inks on one page! Thank you so much for posting this - this'll be my reference sheet when deciding about new Noodler's colours!

There is one thing I'm wondering about - on your page, Noodler's (regular) blue looks much the same like Waterman Florida Blue. What's your experience with these two inks concerning smudging and saturation? The hue looks quite the same ...

And like all the others, I'm always in search for a beuatiful blue;)

I'm going to try to get a scan of these pages to get better color representation -- I'm not happy with the accuracy, but at least it shows relative values.

Waterman Florida Blue and Noodler's Blue are very similar colors -- I'd only opened the bottle of Noodler's Blue to make this sample, so I have spent no time with the color. It's not a bulletproof color, though.

Wow! I feel much better now about having just bought two bottles of ink. smile.gif

Thanks much, Deirdre.

does Tolstoy really "leap out" like that? It looked rather subdued on a previous scan of yours, but then again it was sitting next to Dragon's Napalm...

Thanks for all of the scans!

I am using Noodler's Blue in one pen and Swisher's (i.e., Noodler's) North Sea Blue in another. They look to me like the same ink sold under different names. Could anyone tell me if they are the same ink or, if not, what the difference is?

Thanks, Chris

It's a leaper all right.
