Another lurker who finally jumped in.

Cant say I have much in the way of a collection - just looking to learn at this point.

I'm in the Bay Area - and understand there is a local collectors club - any information about local shops/events would be appreciated.

Welcome!!! I was from the Bay Area and my family lives there. While I live on the central coast for the past 14 years, I do miss all of the stores, shopping, you know stuff like that. I like using the handy-dandy "Search" function in the upper right-hand corner of the page...just because it's faster than waiting for people to reply...and you get to read more old threads that way. But feel free to post your thoughts/questions/answers/photographs,etc.

I think we're close to breaking the record up here - 30 days straight now I think (all-time record is 33 days straight). Mudslides are breaking out in the U.District - craziness!
