Just wanted to share some pics of this pen which my gf recently got for me.

The cute cat motif even extends to the plastic inlay (not printed) on top of the cap! ^_^

The nib's a Medium-Fine, according to the official site:

The series also has specially packaged ink cartridges. They're regular Sailor carts I think, and each little box has two carts.

(EDIT: just to clarify - the ink cartridges are sold separately. When you buy a pen, you only get the standard black cart)

This one's supposed to be orange ink. There're pink, turqoise, green and black too. Haven't seen a blue one though.

Thanks for posting the cat pen! This pen was made based on Sailor Candy pens. They were popular between late 70's and early 80's among teenage girls, and came in all kinds of different colors. Instead of the cat on the tassie some of then had a star and others had a heart. They had made cartridges in many different colors. Recently Sailor re-issued Candy, but sounds like they were sold out pretty fast.

Ooooo. That cat tassie is much cuter than a boring old bird splat. sm_cat.gif

Hi,

So cute and tempting, but nowadays, I only buy pens if I have a good reason, and I have the feeling that if I got one of these, I might not use it enough... headsmack.gif

I sympathise biggrin.gif

In the case of this pen though, I can't quite bring myself to ink it. I've just been taking it out of the pen wrap, looking at it and grinning in a silly way to myself rolleyes.gif

It's so cute! The black/white Cat inlaid must be the Japanese way of getting back at MB......

smile.gif I ink up and use everything I buy, so that's one of things I've never quite experienced. I even have an Italian LE and a few other special pens that I inked up and used. Seriously, if one day you'll have to sell it or something, get hold of me. I'd like to have a good look at that pen.

Hi Julio,

Bought it here in Singapore. I've PM'ed ya. No guarantees though OK?

Mrrrow! How would I get one of these in/shipped to the US?
troglokev
Sailor US only seem to stock the more expensive pens. This is one of the cheaper lines. You could try one of the usual Japanese web stores. Ujuku don't have it in their catalog, but they carry Sailor, so they should be able to get one for you. I haven't checked the others.

The official Sailor web page for these is here. That would help them know what you want. They're only about 1470円, MSRP.

The fountain pen is really cute and perfect for one of my relations who is a cat lover.

Wow, I'd love one with a frog motif....

I would love a pair of these for my granddaughters. So far I have given them a Sailor INK PEN which I got from Jared, and a Sheaffer school pen which I got from eBay. They both have one of each, and both love cats. Is there a converter available for the pen, or is it cartridge only?

You can use the normal sailor converters for these pens. smile.gif

If anybody is interested, I found a store in Japan that sells these at around 15$, I bought the one in the picture for my mom in Canada. They have a bunch of colors ranging from pink to blue, but the design is different.

Cheers
