Chicago Pen Show Update
Here is the latest news on our upcoming show this weekend. First, the Parts and Tools auction set for Friday night has now been moved up from 9:30 to 8:00 p.m. Included in the auction are numerous nib lots including Parker 75s, 16 Waterman Taperite nibs, many Sheaffer 14kt Triumph nibs and many Sheaffer Palladium triumph nibs and Waterman nibs. The lots with the nibs will be placed in a separate display so that they all can be kept together for viewing.
There is a large lot of silver Parker 75 parts; a lot of Parker Duofold parts in orange and other colors; Conklin caps and barrels from the 20's and 30's in colorful plastics and filling mechanisms; Parker 75 sections; all sorts of Wahl Eversharp caps and barrels and misc.; Chilton parts; full size silver Waterman pens from the 20's needing a part or 2 such as a lever or clip; and tools from here to tomorrow. A more complete list will be posted early in the week as I am now assigning numbers to the lots and will have complete descriptions for the catalog.
I have assigned the tables for the weekend. As of now I have one wall table available and a few interior tables available. Anyone interested in obtaining a table should contact me directly at dlpens@comcast.net. Payment can be made upon arrival.
While the hotel block is technically sold out, the hotel will accept further reservations and at the show rate because of our long standing relationship. So there is still time to join the fracas, see old friends, make new friends and acquire the pen of your dreams. Don Lavin
