Awesome review, penmanship and colors!. Why is the red not recommended? We want more like this one!.

Great post! Thank you for the pictures - and great and stunning penmanship! Excellent handwriting! thumbup.gif

What has the evil red done to your fountain pen? I never use red because it reminds me of the corrections of a teacher, but I'd like to know anyway. Just curious

not because of the color, red can be very nice, but THIS red ink is so hard to clean out of your Fountain Pen,
the Nib gets an ugly red-greenish surface... i can't explain it so good with my limited english-knowledge... but it's
a well known fact that this Pelikan Red is really horrible... it don't deserve the name "ink"... it's just some ugly... fluid...

Now, that's an excellent post. I love the purple one; I'll have to give it a try. Pelikan black has become my everyday ink for the past year. Nice handwriting!!

Amazing post. Your penmanship is excellent, did you use a flexible fountain pen or a dip pen? I also like the way that the pictures are taken at an angle, it gives your post a very unique appearance and shows the colours very well.

thanks...yeah, i prefer photos of ink-tests, because scans dont show the color of the ink so realistic like a photo...

i wrote the samples with a fountain pen... i think it was an older (1940-1950) Osmia Supra with a flexible nib...
i'll post some writing samples with Dip Pens and Fountain Pens later in the "Penmanship"-section! =]

Thank you for taking the time to do this photo essay.

Pel's Brown is one of my all time favorite inks. I think your photo is the best example I have seen to date of the color and shading characteristics of this marvelous ink. You also show the Violet well.

A+ for penmanship, by the way.
