I won this on eBay

http://cgi.ebay.com/EVERSHARP-VARSITY-IN-B...1QQcmdZViewItem

I was drawn to this pen because of the nib.

What do you know about this pen ?
Does anybody have this nib ?
How do you like it ?

The 1939 date mentioned in the eBay listing is accurate. The Varsity was a student grade or model pen designed and priced to appeal to (what else?) students. It sold (I think) for $3.50 when new. Almost everyone who has any pen with an Eversharp flexible nib in it (the one with the word Eversharp written in an arch) has this nib The Eversharp nib in it was no different from any other "eversharp" nib of that era, so a flex in a varsity is the same as any other Eversharp flex.

Varsities came in a number of plain and jazzy plastics.
