I've got a couple 51 nibs, they're the typical fine and in good condition, I'll sell them for 20. Since I'm selling them to get a couple 51 vac filler units, I'd prefer a trade for a couple of those -paypal doesn't get anyones money that way. Also might be interested in trading a 3rd nib for a few 51 vac jewels. Obviously, I want filler units and jewels in good condition. If you want pics I can take them, they're just typical 51 nibs, though.

I have a very nice filler without sac. and a jewel. I would be happy if you tell me how the trade should go and I am looking for a P51 Nib USA made with 1942 in date. No need photo to show But I want to be sure it is a 1942 date on the nib/ Tks

Pete you can get filler units from Ernesto Soler at www.parker51.com
That way you can keep your nibs in case you need them later....

Fiber, would any other year be acceptable? I looked through the nibs and the earliest I saw was 1945, I think. I'm pretty sure I had a 1942 at some point, but I guess it was mounted and sold. I'm almost positive I saw that date on a nib, I always noticed it since it was kind of an important date in US history.

Thanks Griz, but the extras are in addition to the ten or so spares that I've already got. Right now I'd rather convert some assets than make any more expenditures.

I recall Parker started marking 51 nibs in 1943 and the 1941 and 1942 nibs are considered "nude nibs" and have no markings.

Well, I guess that proves that stuff you hear about the unreliability of eyewitness testimony. I would have sworn that I'd looked through a loupe at that date on a nib.

Still looking to trade. Might have some other parts that might be of interest, so feel free to ask.
Pete
Trades been made, Thanks FPN.

Just a response on nibs, I have a last quarter 1942 with a 1943 dated nib.
