Hi

I'm interested in learning about pen repair, can anyone recommend a good book on the subject?

Thanks

If you are looking into pen repair I suggest you find a copy of Da Book by Frank Dubeil. It's a good reference.

In addition to Da Book, the following links will take you to i) an article on replacing sac's from Pentrace, and ii) Richard Binder's Information section of his web site, a rich source of info useful for repair.

And for the record "Da Book" is called Fountain Pens - The Complete Guide to Repair and Restoration, by Frank Dubiel - but everyone calls it "Da Book".

It is available at Pendomonium http://www.pendemonium.com/, Fountain Pen Hospital, and a few other sources.

As well there is someone that sells a repair video for FPs but I am not sure how really good it is.

That's Dennis Lively at the PenDen. I think he is PenDen on e-bay, but I don't have his link handy.

You might also want to check out the articles at VintagePens.com - especially Pen Repair Dont's, which can help avoid some common mistakes and damage to pens, and Pen Repair FAQ.
