I bought a Parker 50 flighter today and am wondering if anyone has any experience with this pen. I have a Pilot MYU 701 and really like the sleek design and the way it preforms. The 50 flighter has a similar design but I can find very little about it. They are both stainless steel pens and the nib and nib section is all one piece. I would appreciate any info that could be had. Best Regards, Mark

The Parker 50 is also commonly called the Falcon. You should be able to find a bit more information here, in internet searches for "Parker Falcon."

One nice designed pen to "look at" Use as a normal fountain pen nothing else worth singing prise. A hard to come by pen and it is worth the keep in your collection, They come in steel, black, brown and gold colour (that I know of)

The bad side to this pen is the
a) clip tents to crack at the top cos it is press fit tot the cap.
cool.gif gold clip tents to tarnish
c) clip are a bit soft in metal
d) inner cap tents to loose up after many posting of the cap (because they are plastic made)
e) Nib tent to choke if you don't flush properly or after not use for too long
f) once you drop on the Nib (don't pick up the pen first) Do your prayer that it (Nib) are not hit, bent or broken. I have four that suffered from such fate which looking at them only.

It's good to have extra nib that I purchased after a hard lessons form this.
I have not question if such damaged can be retip. but no longer important.

Trust me,,,,,, If you are collecting, keep them..... happy pennning.
