I think that's the same lathe I have! I've never tried sharpening pencils in it though.

Not quite... Wait until a certain company showers it with politically correct conflict-free/synthetic precious stones, then it will be the world's most expensive pencil sharpener.

If the control is indeed the same as mine, it's a single line of code that should take 10 seconds: taper x.03 z0 to x.26 z1. The lathe figures out all the rest based on parameters. Depending where the pencil sharpener is, it might actually save time.
