Well, I was inspired by bgray's awesome ebonite pens to get some ebonite rods and try my hand at the material. I must say that my shop smells like a drag race now, and that I like the material a lot. It machines well, finishes well, and I look forward to using up the rest of my rods, and getting some more.

FYI - the ebonite came from pipemakers emporium, and the blue/black was on sale for $48+ shipping for 18" or so. This pen used up about 6" of the rod. I want to do some closed-end work, and that's going to use up even more, but hopefully result in a more interesting finished product.

Nice work George! You're going to have some fun with this stuff, aren't you!

Well done George, I like it. I assume the images are of the same pen? Perhaps a little "chubby" for my personal taste but nicely made.
