My small collection of pens got a little bit bigger today.

I got a blue Kultur demonstrator from a friend.
I also received my first Jinhao pen (a #250) in the mail from the eBay seller.

So, here's the whole big happy.

Don't worry Songwind... your collection will grow faster than you think.
Average in the forum is around 60 pens after 2 years.

Man, if 60 pens in two years is the average, I better buy a bigger desk!

I think I must be in serious trouble. 8? 60? Uh... hm. I've been here 6 months and have at least 30 pens. I kinda lost count. unsure.gif

Wait, I miscounted. I have nine.

Well, I would be up to ten, but I gave one to my wife.

Nice collection! It's a good start - there are so many good pens out there, all with their own character. Each writes differently and gives you a different experience - don't you find that as well? biggrin.gif

At this point, I have 75 pens, just got my last one - a Reform 1745 - today.

The one I keep at work is a Reform of unknown provenance, torpedo shaped, that I got from southpaw. Nice pen, firm fine point, piston-filler. Writes very smoothly.

I agree--nice collection. I'm up to 5. It looks like you have a varied collection. I'm curious: are you seeing yourself collecting different brands/styles like you have been doing, or do you see yourself focusing on a particular brand more than others? Looks like you recently got two Pelikans.

Well, predictably, I had to thrash around a bit at first and figure out exactly what I like.

I have decided I *really* like Pelikans. I also really like the looks of vintage Sheaffers and some others.
