I recently won a long square Wahl pen on Ebay - I haven't received it yet, but I'm still a little curious about them.

I think I saw some on a pen seller's website - (David I in the archives? edit: For Sale section - sorry)

Are these related to Oxfords or Dorics? It has that bantam-look to it. It looks like it has the basic 2 nib, so I'm thinking it was a low-end pen. I'm guessing by the long blind cap that its a bulb filler?

I'd never seen one before, so I probably overpaid a bit on spec.

Yes it is a bulb filler and while it is most often called the stenographic pen, it was marketed as the Streamline. There was a matching pencil although they are seldom seen. Stenographic because it held a great deal of ink so lots of dictation could be taken without having to refill. The Doric connection is only the clip and the faceting, but it doesn't have as many facets as a Doric.

I've known 'em as Steno/Stenographic pens. Appreciate hearing formal name was Streamline.

Not easy to find clean. At least 3-4 colors of which i'm aware, variants on the candy stripe theme as well as a black pen with white veins. Here be the seldom seen pcl.
