I'm wondering if the nibs on a Phileas are gold. I want to dedicate a pen to some Diamine Registrar's ink. Richard Bender says it works pretty well in pens with no non-gold parts, but apparently will eat up steel, including stainless. I have two Phileas, could dedicate one.
Anyone know for sure?

As far as I know (and my pens show this), Phileas nibs are steel.
They are nice nibs nonetheless.

Phileas nibs are steel plated with gold, I believe.

Phileas gold plated steel. Kulturs, same nib, no plating, all steel.

Actually, Phileas nibs are two-tone gold plated...
