Having the "Double Reservoir Power Filler" system they probably don't have the ink flow problems that affect Visconti's converters. At least, I hope so.

Yes they give up the converter problems for the power filler problems

YES - Just got back from the FPH pen show and saw those there. They looked nice but were HEAVY. Now I know why people say the limited edition Wall Street are heavy.
While there, picked up the new Capaccino Van Gogh. Beautiful pen. Actually the tortoise shell demo was also pretty but since I've got an opera club I thought I'd get a different colored nib.

Bought onbe Yesterday! I went into Sharp's in Perth (Australia) looking fo something else entirely-and saw the clear acryloid one and had to have it......
One one day's acquaintance I'm very pleased with it. It is heavy, but well balanced. It's heavier than a Pelikan M1050 with posted cap, but I've got big hands and like a weighty pen. It is actually bigger than either M1050 (M1000 with vermeil cap) or MB149!
Ink flow so far seems fine, and the double chamber filler seems to work beautifully.
Will try to do a proper review when I've got to know it a bit better.

I told you I was scared. If I've seen a black OM w/ GT for $425, I should snag it, huh?

That sounds like the price for the Opera (c/c fill), not the Opera Master. This one is c/c, for example. (The retail price for the Opera is $425.)

What are the nib sizes that are available for this pen? I'm thinking this pen would be great with a mediumish stub, but I don't think I've ever seen a stock stub nib on a Visconti before. Can you get a medium stub on this pen without having to send it to a nibmeister?

The only stock stub nib on Visconti is in the 18k nibs.

I thought this pen had an 18K nib? At least that is how it is listed at Fahrney's, Avalon Pens, and various eBay seller. If it does have an 18K nib, whatever store I potentially purchase from should be able to get this pen with the stub, correct?

I phrased it that way because of some of the other posts not directly related to the thread title.
The Opera Master Demo pens are 18k. The gold-trimmed black Opera Master, though, has a 14k nib.
Stock 18k nibs are EEF, EF, F, M, B, BB, S, OF, OM, OS

Deirdre,
Thank you very much. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Do you know if the Opera Master Demo can be purchased with the stock stub or would I have to get it with a medium and then send it off to Visconti for a nib swap?
BTW, I sent you a PM on that ink thing. Sorry for the delay.

I know Bittner has stock stubs, because I bought a stub from them (of course, Ken Jones was there at the time, so that helped). Visconti can also do a nib swap.
Apparently, Visconti will also add a 14k stub at some point; currently, for the 14k pens, one would now have to do a nib upswap for $120.
No worries on the ink -- I have a bunch to send out myself and finally have vials with lids to do so!
