Any Pelikan advice out there for lefties? I use my 605 daily and there's no going back... but with my round-the-world clawhammer grip, I end up pushing the nib along instead of pulling it-- so even a big, wet medium nib can feel scratchy sometimes. Would an italic or oblique nib write smoother for lefties, and if so, which?
Thanks all,
Peter

Being a lefty I've noticed this too. The only thing that's helped me is to try to reduce the angle of the pen, so the underside of the nib is making contact more than the point itself.

I don't own a Pelikan, but I've used Parker Vectors and use an EF Lamy Al-Star daily. I have a conventional grip (like a righty, but in my left hand) so I'm a pusher, not an over/under-writer. I have found that a lower angle helps, so I grip the very top of the section, and very little pressure.
Using that technique, I get very little tooth and a nice fine line from my Lamy. It's working so well that I've requested a 1.1mm italic nib Safari for my birthday. I hope it is sufficiently smooth...
