Received this Pelikan today & although searching through the Web I cannot identify the model

Its a cartridge / convertor model - The Cap & Body are aluminium - The cap clip & inset band on the body are chromed steel - The Nib is Medium steel & scrolled
The section is transparent yellow with a green tinge
Overall size closed is 136mm - 150mm Posted - 128mm uncapped
Overall Weight is 18 gram / 13 gram unposted
Barell diameter is 11mm Grip 8.5 mm diam

The clip is stamped Germany in tiny lettering but is otherwise simply a flat chromed bar & the Cap has Pelikan & the logo printed around the base

There is no other model no or reference

When this arrived it was so clean I think it had never been inked just some evidence of dipping on the nib

I put a cartridge I had available on & the ink started to flow around the transparent section making it look quite messy & unattractive ~ I do not have a proper pelikan cartridge or convertor to hand. The Nib was pretty smooth & the pen is quite comfortable to use the cap threads being set far back & discrete.

So any clues? Model ? Year? Size wise its similar to the Pelikan 600 800 series as well as the Lamy Studio

Hmm. I've not seen a Pel such as yours before. I suspect it may be a school pen or a promotional model.

I'm guessing it's a Pelikan 2000.The flighter version of this one.There also is a Pelikan 3000 set (second pic).But I'm pretty sure your pen is a 2000.

Thanks it does look very very close to the 2000 ~ I think the end of the barrell on mine is more elongated above the chrome ring & the plastic cap end piece is larger as well
otherwise the clip looks exactly the same

Do you have any more info like nibs / year / cost / marketed where etc ???

Thanks for this much appreciated

Yes definately out of that model batch ~ I've just seen a ball point version on Martini auctions ~ different body to mine but the section style is the same

Also buried in the archives here was a mention that the 2000 set sold for $37 in transparent plastic ~ I guess the aluminium body was sort of a better version

I have seen these two sets on penseller.com ,but that site is closed for now. Both of these sets can be found in Romania for about 23$ the 2000 set and 26$ the 3000. The Romanian Pelikan retailer also has them ,but at a slightly higher price. Both of these sets come in medium nibs only from what I know, that's why I didn't bought any of them. The 2000 is rather small, smaller than an old style Pelikano that I have.
That's all I know about these pens.Hope it helps.

Thanks again

This is bigger than a Pelikano - the barrel looks exactly the same as the 3000 & its just the end caps that differ sort of a mix between the 2000 & 3000

Would anyone know whether the 3000 / 2000 pens are suitable for a Pelikan Cartridge Convertor ?
The cartridge I fitted is a small cheap variety
I tried sliding a Parker convertor into the barrel just to see but it wouldn't fit
