Ebony Blue... Ebony Purple... Ebony Green... anyone seen any of these yet?

"Samples" are shown on the PR web site; just curious to know if they're loose in the marketplace yet.

Thx,

John

Yes - Art Brown of NYC has them in. I saw samples yesterday. Dark, saturated colors. If at full intensity, they'd be, not black, but very dark versions of those colors. I loved them.

At the Atlanta show, Pendemonium had the ebony green and purple, but very few bottles. I got a smear sample of the purple and it is a nice dark rich color.

Ebony purple doesn't do much for me, but I think the other two could be excellent business colors.

Are they - as I've been told - "black" colours" with a tint of purple etc.? Or just a very very dark purple? Or does it go the same direction like Noodler Red Black?
Garageboy
Wow MORE colors from PR

Nope to me the smear is appears clearly as dark purple.

Oh come on, we must have a scan to see what the hoopla is about: (they're at the bottom)

oooh. Ebony green is promising.

can I dream that it would match the hue of Penman Emerald if very dark? And the flow? And the shimmer?

Garageboy
Why is their color chart sooo far off?
Jimmy James
Of the PR inks I have or have tried, the only one that seems really far off is black cherry. That ink looked nothing like that out of what I tried it in.

I think the chart has Grey Flannel, Midnight Blues, DC Supershow Blue, and Arabian Rose pretty much right. Those are the inks I have that seem accurate.

Monitors may vary. On my monitor:

Naples is not as green as it is IRL (IRL, a deep turquoise-blue)
Sherwood is greener than it is IRL
Copperburst is much redder than IRL (in fact, my samples of copperburst have always been very un-coppery) tongue.gif
Black Cherry is redder than IRL (IOW, IRL, it's browner)
Shoreline gold is redder than IRL (IRL, yellower)
Burgundy Mist is redder than IRL (IRL, browner)
Tropical blue is not as green as IRL (IRL, more a true turquoise)

All the other colors look true or so close as to be acceptable to my eyes. Never tried Mojo so can't comment on that one.

YMMV (Your Monitor May Vary) smile.gif
