Got this from Stan's previous Japanese pen sale. The pen is a red resin pen with maki-e painting of mountains and birds. This is my first Maki-e pen, and I realized I am more paranoid of damaging the painting than ready to use this pen. This pen was advertised as unink, and I have not inked or dipped it myself. This pen has an M nib, meaning a western F.

I bought this pen for $155 including shipping. I would like to sell the pen for what I paid for, but I realized there are some gold paint wear/loss on one of the birds and on the signature. Not substantial (the signature is still there), but I thought I want to make this clear upfront. Because of this, I am selling the pen with box (typical black platinum box) for $145 shipped.

I have Stan's photos, but I do not want to upload here publicly without getting Stan's permission. But feel free to pm me, and I can lead you to the photos privately.

Edited to add: The slight loss in paint is caused by me, and has nothing to do with Stan. The pen arrived in excellent condition from Stan.

thanks,

hi,

I have taken photos of the pen, and have tried my best to show the wear of the gold dust on one of the bisr and on the signature. The rest of the painting are in good condition. The last photo is Stan's photo.

thanks,

hello,

Reducing to $135 shipped CONUS (just the pen, no box). Other than the gold loss on one of the birds and on the signature, the other areas are not affected, and the pen is still in very good condition. Including more of Stan's photos (after getting his permission).

What caused the paint loss? Also, which pictures are most representative of it's color?
