There is a Luis Cartier pen for sale in the classifieds.
Can anyone tell me how it feeds? And if it will take a cartridge, are there currently available cartridges that will work? Also, is there a source for replacement nibs (a fine, for example)? Or. a source for a new converter?
Thanks--as you've no doubt gathered, I am a REAL Novice about pens. I simply like the looks of the Cartier.
You didn't say if it was the composite pen or one with a metal cap or metal cap and barrel. The composite Louis Cartier is a pretty good pen that is well made and quite solid. The all plastic models (composite) are not too heavy and somewhat equivalent in feel to a Parker Centennial Duofold. The comparison carries over to the filling system that uses a cartridge/convertor. The nibs are quite smooth but rigid, also along the lines of the Duofold. Finishing is superb.
The design of the plastic (composite) cap and barrel have longitudinal lines that run the length of the pen. It makes for an interesting, conservative, and tasteful design. The rounded barrel end is metal tipped. The clip integrates well into the cap and is a nice design that IMO successfully marries the clip to the cap in one of the better designs out there.
Whew. Just thinking about it why don't I have one.
