I'm not too fond of medium and/or italic nibs. It really bothers me when my lower case a's, e's and o's look like a blob of ink. And I've got some good quality medium and italic nibs, but it hasn't made much difference. But today...I received in the mail (about an hour ago) a Conway Stewart Levenger Edition with a Medium Italic nib and I love it! My writing is still distinct, its got great line variation, its smooth as silk and it looks great! With my Fahrney's Edition with a Mottishaw EF nib, I'm extremely happy with Conway Stewarts. Even with the Fahrney Editions' Rollerball. Well almost...both the fountain pens are cartridge/converter pens, but even with that they really stand out in my collection!

Nice to know you're happy with your CS nibs. I know what you mean about blobs of ink, a medium CS nib is too wide for me, so I've got fines or an italic fine.
