My friends, I have done it! I finally have a Pelikan 100N comming my my way..... in the meantime here's a few pics fom the seller to show you my latest buy! At $240 USD i think it was a decent deal, what do you think???
The ink window looks completely clean, no brassing to the trim, new cork and no scratches/cracks. Its also a 14k gold Pelikan M nib.

Looks nice, doesn't it? Is this a post war Pelikan??? One more thing, a Pelikan 100N in Excellent + or almost mint condition, should i use it and enjoy it for decades to come or store it away?

Why buy such a pen if you don't plan on using it?
Enjoy the pen.... life's too short not to!

Congrats, Dr. Ozzie! It looks great. I also agree that you should use, especially since it's coming to you in used condition, right?

Use it!
This is the pen I am dreaming of but I cannot get myself to buy one ....
I am curious how the nib writes compared to the 400s fron the 50s and 60s.

These are for using. My 100N is one of my favorites and still writes great after having it for just over 4 years.
Enjoy your new pen.

Ok, what ink can you recomend for my 100N? I have Parker Quink but for a pen like that i want something a little more interesting.

I find that the older Pels (I only have two vintage Pels) are just as sweet to write with as the newer Pels (only 3). And, I agree, life is too short, use it. My recommendation would be Diamine Umber - only use Diamine on the vintage pens.

Nice pen! I'm glad to see that you've decided to use it. Enjoy! As for ink suggestions, I like using Diamine Indigo in my 100n.

Use it!
This is a 100CN with a gold nib (both CN nibs and gold are correct)...great post-war writer.
Nice thing about this as a user...the clip and cap band are brass, so you can always polish it up without fearing any ahhh...brassing!
Good luck,

Congrats on the new Pel. Those post-war 100N pens are quite nice. The amount of nib showing above the collar looks to be a bit much but I'd have to see the underside of the nib to be sure. It's probably nothing though. I use Omas ink in mine. Their grey ink is superb.
