I've posted a WTB for a "51" - it's very specific and I'm wondering what are the chances of finding what I'm looking for and how much I might have to pay for a usable one in very good condition.
Parker "51", English, 1960s, Aerometric, Black, Lustraloy cap, Medium nib

I'm going to say Mark I, late 50s or early 60s.

The "English" might pose a challenge

OK, let's scrub the 'English' condition.
A couple of questions for the 51 experts:
In what year did the Mk II replace the Mk I? I've read conflicting dates e.g. 'mid 60s', '1969' and even seen a 'Mk I 1970' advertised for sale.
Is there a difference between 'frosted' Lustraloy and just plain Lustraloy? Did one replace the other?
Does 'Classic' equate to 'Lustraloy cap'?
Thanks in advance.

How about looking on www.ebay.co.uk ?
Most of the P51's sold there and priced in pounds are of English manufacture. If all fails, contact the seller if the photo's too poor. Most don't specify the point size, and I've taken to asking every seller who's pen I'm interested in, and don't bid unless the answer is satisfactory.
Regards
Richard.
