Full Version: Looking for a Blood Red Ink

I am looking for a blood red ink. I know the name "Blood Red" is probably not the best for marketing, so more creative names are usually used. It is hard for someone to get a feel for the real color when looking on a computer screen. Please note, we have no fountain pen stores in my area, so sadly all my shopping is done over the internet.

Have a look at Diamine Monaco Red

Diamine Monaco Red would have been my first suggestion as well. It's a lovely red, made for the Prince of Monaco.

Antietam or Tiananmen from Noodler's are pretty close, maybe Diamine's Passion Red or Monaco Red?

+1 for Monaco Red.

It's a wonderful, rich colour. One of my favourite inks.

As a medical doctor I want to remind you that blood can look vastly different. Arterial blood can be bright red and venous blood can sometimes be almost black.

For me J. Herbin: Terre de Feu is the blood that runs in my pens. It looks like ordinary venous blood...

Beautiful!
