FPN'rs - be prepared that all of what we know now to be our "system" for selling pens first come, first serve may go the way buggywhip. Gmail just introduced a feature that allows you to set the time (in the past) you'd like your email to appear to the recipient. So, if you sell like I do, and walk away from your computer only to open your mail starting from the oldest first, you may be scammed. sigh.

Obviously I'm overdramatizing the importance of this, but it does have some potential to mess things up a bit.

If it's any consolation that you got caught out so early, you got me embarrassed_smile.gif Thanks to Deirdre I won't be making a fool of myself telling people about this new rule!

You got me as well. I have to admit that I didn't realize what was going on until just now.

Hee hee. I saw your post last night but decided to say nothing. I am really on the lookout for stuff like this and I love April Fools Day. An article in my ham radio magazine QST almost got me this year. I got 2/3's through this long technical article before starting to smell something fishy and realized I was being taken for a ride. It got me real good.

Google usually / invariably pulls some stunt every year. My favorite one was this one:

It's a product they still offer. roflmho.gif

Lee Valley Tools always has one. This year's isn't NEARLY as funny as the one they did a few years ago. For that one, the disclaimers alone were worth the price of admission:

QST's traditional AF article wasn't as good this year IMO. Too much implied "wink-wink", "nudge-nudge"...never seemed real...but I'm always expecting it too. I saw the Gmail thing about 2am and for about a half second believed it, then realized the date had changed over.

I wrote one up for my blog readers:
