Full Version: Does anyone sell ink samplers?

Being new to pens, and given I can't just drive to a specialty store and buy any ink, I am having a hard time deciding what ink I want to buy.

Ink isn't too expensive, but when you don't know exactly which shade you want, it can add up at $5 a bottle (plus shipping!) and up.

I was wondering if anyone/anyplace sells ink samplers in which you can choose maybe 5 different inks, and they send you small containers of each one. Maybe the sample would be half a standard cartridge or something. I know I would buy one of those to find the right color ink!

does anyone do that?

Thanks!

Also, we have an ink trading program where you can trade small vials of ink with other FPN'ers!

Diamine do packs of assorted colour cartridges of their ink so you can try out lots of colours if you have a pen that uses international size cartridges.

I wonder how hard would it be to draw ink out of a cartridge into a pen with a sac? A snorkel would be easier, maybe more of a challenge with other pens, but that would give a person a chance to try some different stuff as well.
